- Debbie Frye of Flyerland.ca, is an expert on being smart, not cheap, and she gave me some tips and advice on how to make your March Break fun and memorable, without blowing your budget.
- If you looking to save on your "staycation" this March Break. Visit Attractions Ontario where you can find over $800 in savings.
Taking the family on a day trip. Instead of spending March Break in front of the TV or computer, get outside and get active! Plan a day to take the gang cross-country skiing, snowboarding, ice skating or hiking.
- Host a Movie night sleepover with sleeping bags, PJs and lots of popcorn! Rent a bunch of movies from Blockbuster.
- Bring out the classic board games. Get everyone together for a Monopoly Match, Twister Tournament.
- Plan a theme day and bake, do crafts, or create a day around the kids favourite hobbies.
- Create a Spring clear-out contest. The kids may not think Spring cleaning is fun but make it a game. Challenge them to clear out old toys and clothes from their bedrooms to donate to charity. Then you can award points for each piece they give away to use towards a new toy or something on their wish list.
- Take cue from ELLEN and host a Daytime dance party. Invite your kids' friends over for a party-you can even ask their parents. Have everyone bring snacks and their iPods, and dance the afternoon away.
