It's 3 years behind bars for Wesley Snipes, one year for each of the 3 misdemeanor convictions of willfully failing to file tax returns. Woody Harrelson and Denzel Washington wrote letters supporting Wesley vouching for him and saying what a good guy he is.  But there again prisons are just full of good guys aren't they?

Tom Cruise is going back for another appearance on Oprah, this time to celebrate the 25^th anniversary of his career making film Risky Business.  Just in case Tom is really excited about something, Oprah may want to make sure there are no overhead lights or microphones directly above the couch Tom sits on.

Well here's a real shocker, NBC has made it abundantly clear OJ Simpson is not being, nor ever will be, considered for the next season of Celebrity Apprentice. A spokesperson for Donald Trump says it was a non-starter from the beginning, though they apparently did speak with OJ about his interest.  OJ must feel like he's been stabbed in the back on that one.

Anna Nicole Smith's mom Virgie Arthur is suing Howard K. Stern, TMZ.com and other media outlets for alleging she is the mother of her stepbrother's child. She claims a plot existed to destroy any of Howards adversaries and they've clashed before over Anna's remains and custody of daughter Danielynn.

If the filming accidents are any indication, the new Bond film Quantum of Solace" is gonna be exciting. Just last week an Aston Martin car crashed and plunged into a lake while being delivered to the movie set. Now a stuntman is in serious condition in hospital after smashing up an Alfa Romeo during filming on a winding road Wednesday.  They should maybe start using old K-Cars for the chases which are cheaper to replace when they get banged up, and aren't fast enough to seriously hurt anyone.

Predictions are pretty scary for the price of gasoline and for our food.  1.40 a litre by summer which is also going to drive up the price of food as it becomes more expensive for farmers tractors and combines to operate, and diesel fuel for trucks to bring our food is soaring too. Bread, meat, pasta, rice and dairy are all climbing in price right now. 

CNN is being sued by a Chinese primary school teacher and a beautician because commentator Jack Cafferty referred to their government as a bunch of goons and thugs. The plaintiffs say Cafferty's words insulted all Chinese people and intentionally caused metal harm to them.  They want 1.3 billion dollars, one dollar for each person in the country.  I'd hate to be the guy in charge of handing out the cash after the settlement.
