April 8.....and yet another sunny day.....I'm lovin' it 

The script for Oliver Stone's upcoming movie, "W", about George W. Bush sounds none too flattering. According to the Hollywood reporter it portrays him as a foul-mouthed, reformed drunk obsessed with baseball, Saddam Hussein and a conflicted relationship with his dad.  Hope they release it after he leaves office in case he's vindictive too.

Rob Lowe and his wife Sheryl are suing a former household employee, a nanny, for defamation, breach of contract, infliction of distress, and misrepresentation. They claim Laura Boyce disclosed details about her employment and lied about it. They say that violated a confidentiality agreement with her scheme to spread lies. They allege she demanded a million and a half dollars in hush money.

New York Times reports CBS is in talks with CNN to possibly outsource some of it's news-gathering operations to CNN.  Another possibility is for CBS to keep it's correspondents in certain regions but pair them up with the CNN crews. Front line presenters like Katie Couric would stay on staff.  It's all aimed at cutting costs in the news division of CBS.

Apparently Mischa Barton plans to plead no contest to her charge of driving under the influence when she's arraigned Thursday. That would allow her to avoid jail time and the charge of pot possession would be dismissed, while her charge of driving with an invalid license would be reduced to an infraction.  See how simple it is for famous people to make their mistakes just disappear?

Donny and Marie Osmond will help celebrate Moms as cohosts of an NBC special scheduled for Mother's Day night. "America's favorite Mom" airing May 11 will crown a winner chosen online by viewer polling and will mark the 100th anniversary of Mother's Day. 

City of Hamilton has backed the bid for the 2015 Pan Am Games.

Tourism Director David Adames got the green light from council yesterday to chase the Pan Am party along with 7 other municipalities. We'll be bidding against Colombia, Venezuela and Peru next year for the games.
