Get set for an advertising campaign launched by Al Gore aimed at changing the way Americans and the rest of us think about climate change.  The ads will run during American Idol, The Daily Show and others to bring attention to the fact lawmakers in the U.S. have done precious nothing to curb greenhouse gases,  similar to what's occurred here in Canada. Al's decided to take the message straight to the people.

We're fed up with gasoline prices, truckers in the United States are feeling the same with their diesel prices of around 4 bucks a gallon. Many independent drivers can't make a living and are organizing a strike today through Thursday to protest the overwhelming cost of fuel.

Make sure your kids know to stay away from streams, rivers and lakes the next few days. The mild weather coupled with rain in the forecast may cause some flooding and fast moving water that can be very dangerous for kids to be playing near.

Contrary to the rumours, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie did not get hitched on the weekend.  Word on the street said they'd ducked into a New Orleans chapel Saturday night and voiced their nuptials. Seems now the pair haven't even been in the big easy for 2 weeks as Brad's in Texas shooting his new film "Tree of Life."

Kathie Lee Gifford returns to television next Monday joining the cast of the Today show on NBC. She'll be a cohost in the fourth hour teamed with Hoda Kotb. She joked that it's good to be working again so she doesn't have to stay home and watch her husband, Frank Gifford's old highlight reels.

It cost the City of Hamilton more than 2 million bucks but the energy and environmental savings will more than pay for it. We've now got LED traffic lights at 441 intersections across the city saving us about 70% on our traffic power bill, plus they last longer.LED stand for "Light emitting diode" by the way.

The price is $830,000 here in Hamilton to battle gypsy moths that have taken over thousands of trees in the city.  We're doing the rural areas too now, (pointless not to) and the spraying will take place in late May.  Gypsy moths eat the foliage of trees and eventually the trees die,  effectively decimating forestation.
