The Saints of Ancaster return with even more Soul as they present the fourth annual Tastes of Ancaster event. This year the event will be held on Thursday June 12th, from 6 pm to 10 pm, at the beautiful Marquis Gardens, 1365 Sandhill Drive, in Ancaster. What a great way to begin Ancaster Heritage weekend. Tickets are $40 per person and available for sale at both Rastin's Guardian Pharmacy at the corner of Wilson Street and Sulphur Springs Road and M & M Meat Shops in Ancaster. Payment can be by cheque or cash.
Those attending the event will be treated to delicious culinary delights from many of the best Ancaster restaurants and an exceptional selection of wines and brews from regional wineries and breweries.
The participating area establishments include: The Ancaster Old Mill, The Brassie Pub, Celli's, The Coach & Lantern, Faloney's Restaurant, India Village, Marquis Gardens, M & M Meat Shops, My Thai Restaurant, The Opera House and Tea Room, Rousseau House and Saving Thyme Catering.
In addition, there will be a number of regional wineries and breweries participating including: Colio, Foster, Stoney Ridge, and Peller Estate Wines and Sleeman's, Steelback, Steamwhistle and Labatt's Breweries.
A five piece combo from the Hamilton All-Star Jazz Band ensemble and the Ron Palangio Trio will alternate in topping off the festive mood with the smooth sounds of jazz and popular music favourites throughout the evening.
The Tastes of Ancaster is a joint venture between St. Ann's Knights of Columbus and St. John's Anglican Church, both located in Ancaster, and is also a part of the Ancaster Heritage festivities. The co-chairs, Henry Vens (People's Advocate, St. John's) and Scott Rastin (St. Ann's Knights of Columbus), are pleased that the event has become an ever-popular annual event and gets bigger and better each year.
All proceeds from the Tastes of Ancaster will benefit the churches, local community service organizations and charities.
