Viva Death is the punk rock supergroup comprised of
Trever Keith (
Face to Face),
Scott Shiflett (
Face to Face),
Chris Shiflett (
Foo Fighters),
Josh Freese (
A Perfect Circle), and
Chad Blinman. The five-piece came together in mid-2001 when
Trever Keith and
Scott Shiflett initially started out recording for fun. What came of those sessions was the aggressive, guitar-driven debut
Viva Death, which was released on Vagrant in September 2002. Their long-awaited follow-up,
One Percent Panic, arrived in October 2006 on Functional Equivalent Recordings.
