Mathieu Edward

Mathieu Edward is a French R&B singer who made his recording debut in 2008 after garnering national fame as a finalist on the television show Star Academy. Born Mathieu Edouard on January 2, 1987, in Cergy-Pontoise, France, he competed on the seventh season of Star Academy (2007-2008) and finished second place runner-up, losing narrowly to winner Quentin Mosimann on the night of February 15, 2008. He subsequently signed a major-label recording contract with Universal Music and made his full-length solo album debut with Entre Toi et Moi (2008). A Top Ten hit on the French album charts, Entre Toi et Moi spawned the Trak Invaders-produced Top Five hit single "Comme Avant," a duet with Sheryfa Luna, the winner of the 2006-2007 season of the television show Popstars, and the Top Ten hit single "Entre Toi et Moi."
