Album Review

Sony’s Setlist series isn’t a standard budget-line compilation: these discs bypass hits in favor of live tracks cut throughout the years, mixing up highlights from classic live albums with a handful of rarities, including some unreleased cuts. In the case of Judas Priest’s entry, this contains highlights from 1979’s Unleashed in the East, 1986’s Priest…Live!, and 2009’s A Touch of Evil: Live, along with selections from the Japanese release Priest Live & Rare which have never seen U.S. release prior to this. This may hopscotch through the eras, adding cuts from the new millennium reunion with Rob Halford, but the selections are generally strong, making this a solid sampler of the Priest on-stage.
