In 2010, electronic musician and designer Hiroshi Fujiwara was given access to
Michael Jackson's early recordings for Motown Records (both with
the Jackson 5 and as a solo act) and used the original studio masters as the basis for a remix project. Hiroshi Fujiwara & K.U.D.O. Present Michael Jackson/The Jackson 5 Remix takes
Jackson's original vocal performances and marries them to new instrumental tracks, reworking the tunes into a dramatically different sound and feel influenced by dub reggae and ambient electronica.
