Guitarist
Sue Foley sent a demo tape of herself to Antone's Records in 1990, and the label quickly saw her potential and signed her to a recording contract. A debut album,
Young Girl Blues, appeared in 1992, followed in 1994 by
Without a Warning,
Big City Blues in 1995,
A Walk in the Sun in 1996,
Ten Days in November in 1998, and two albums,
Love Comin' Down and
Back to the Blues, in 2000, after which
Foley and Antones parted company. This generous set picks key tracks from each of those albums, and it makes a nice introduction to
Foley's sturdy brand of blues-inflected roots rock, always sparked by her laser-guided electric guitar leads.
