The title of this LP by
Jim Cullum, Sr.'s Happy Jazz Band had to do with the only tape of the album being accidentally taken when thieves stole recording equipment from a parked car. Fortunately, the tape was returned two weeks later and the excellent album eventually was released. The clarinetist/leader, his son
Jim Cullum, Jr. on cornet, trombonist Gene McKinney, and pianist Cliff Gillette have many excellent solos on a variety of Dixieland standards, including "Just a Little While to Stay Here," "Everybody Loves My Baby," "Struttin' With Some Barbeque" and "That Da Da Strain." All of
the Happy Jazz Band's early recordings are quite consistent, but unfortunately, none have yet been reissued on CD.
