You’ll never guess what my wife found in her washing machine. 

Yes, HER washing machine.  And it got ME into more than a little hot water.

Let’s start at the beginning.  Years ago I got fired from doing laundry (something to do with a favourite sweater and the dryer).  So ever since, its been HER washer.

Was also fired from the dishwasher, for similar reasons.

Anyway, recently I got a panicked call while on the golf course.

Laurie had reached in to her washer to remove what she thought was a dark glob of gunk…only it wasn’t.  It was actually…a BAT…a LIVE BAT!

Once they had both finished shrieking, she slammed down the lid and called me.

“Please come home and take care of the Bat” was the plea.

Well, I was at the furthest most point of the course (Rockway Glen), it was a long walk in, and, well, why not just play the final holes in?  So I did.

An hour later when I finally got home and returned the Bat to the great outdoors,  the question was asked, ‘what took you so long?’   ‘Ummm, ahhh, I, ummm, well, I finished  the round.’

Stupid husband mistake.

Expecting to soon be fired from golf too.
