The McMaster University Center for Continuing Education specialises in delivering effective, high-quality professional education to working professionals. Our courses use best practises in adult learning including incorporating the relevant experiences of your fellow students in to the learning process.

Our instructors are chosen from the leading professionals in each field for their ability to teach. Most students will already be working in the field they’re studying and will enrich classroom discussion with that knowledge. Group work and other interactive formats help you get to know other people working in your chosen field.

Our classes are small and interactive. Most classes are held in evenings and on weekends, and you can start in September, January or May. Many courses are also offered through distance education so that you can study when and where you like. New online classes start each month so you don’t have to wait to get started.

We understand that it’s challenging to go to school while you’re balancing work and personal commitments. You’ll find our instructors and administrators to be friendly, welcoming and willing to do their best to help you excel in your learning goals.
