About Big Al's Hamilton - Aquarium Supercentres and Pet City

Big Al's Aquarium Supercentres and Pet City opened its doors in December 1985 with the concept of offering our customers the best prices and the largest selections available.

The store started with an 8,000 sq. ft. aquarium store and in 2000 expanded to a 12,000 sq. ft. high tech super store specializing in high tech aquariums products along with larger selections of supplies for every pet's needs.

We also added a professional Dog Grooming Salon and expanded our reptile department with a new specialized room.

The staff comes with a wealth of knowledge and are experts in their fields. The relaxing atmosphere makes our store a great family outing, from all the cute animals, relaxing waterfall and the attraction of our mascot, a 2' sharpnose shark and it's aquatic friends: eels, groupers and snappers in a 1500 gallon aquarium.

Our 1500 gallon shark tank is a great size for these sharpnose sharks as they only reach a maximum of 3 feet in length.
