Missing Links and Missing Links Academy are hosting their 4th annual Fun Day on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at our location, 2317 Fairview Street. From 11:00am – 2:00pm, we will be having a celebration uniting our agency, families, friends and our community for a day of free entertainment and excitement. This year, fun for the whole family can be experienced as Missing Links opens its doors with tours, activities, music, a party bus full of games, sand boxes, bouncers, face painting and snacks for all.

In addition to hosting a fabulous party, Missing Links will be holding a silent auction and raffle in attempts to raise funds for our extended programming needs. We continue to raise money towards the purchase of the newest technology, such as computers and iPads to support students in our recognized programs.

Missing Links and its revolutionary private school, Missing Links Academy, provide clinical and educational programming for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Missing Links was founded by Ms. Badwall in April 2004 and has quickly been evolving ever since.

Missing Links is committed to the provision and individualized service in the area of programming and consultations, using a multi-disciplinary approach for these dynamic children. Missing Links offers many services, including cognitive, behavioral, developmental and social areas of programming, educational consultation, workshop, training and group programming facilitation.

The newest addition to the Missing Links service is Missing Links Academy. Missing Links Academy is an innovative private school, offering individualized programming to suit the needs of students with ASD. Opening in September 2009, the academy is growing quickly. The program follows the Ontario curriculum and is taught by qualified teachers who are certified by the Ontario College of Teachers and who have experience and training in ASD strategies. The 7000 square foot facility is equipped with an in-house gym with working treadmills, exercise bikes and an elliptical machine for daily physical activities. Special programming in the Arts, Health and Physical Education, Life Skills and Socialization are provided on a weekly basis.

The program offers accommodated and modified programming in all areas to help all students achieve their personal best and succeed. Missing Links Academy is proud to offer exemplary one to one and small group instruction and continues to be a leader in the field of autism.
