Buddies Walking For Down Syndrome Awareness
It was called The Buddy Walk , the first annual for the Down Syndrome Association of Hamilton. I was very honoured to emcee this event that gathered a good 500 walkers who collectively raised over 45,000 dollars for the Hamilton Volunteer Association. October is Down Syndrome Awareness month and it was fantastic to see the Buddy Walk (which was held at Bayfront Park) attract so many interested people in the community who were walking with kids with down syndrome or who came with friends walking to raise awareness. A job well done and a great day for a stroll!!!
