Almost every morning I've driven into work , i've encountered a Christmas tree in the middle of the road .  Yes I know , it was an early clean so you decided to haul it out to the end of the driveway for pick up whenever.  The pick up for the trees doesn't happen until the week of January 14th and runs til the 18th and that's if you're in the yellow zone and during the week of Jan 21-25th , trees will be picked up if you're in the purple zone.  If you're confused call 905-546-2489.  You'll get the answer and by the way i don't think they'll tell you to put the tree out in advance so it can swirl around in the wind  and land in someone's front yard.
